Dear Patient,
Francis Road Medical Centre is relocating to First Floor Oliver Road Polyclinic, 75 Oliver Road Leyton, E10 5LG.
We are writing to you as a patient, carer or guardian registered with Francis Road Medical Centre to let you know about an important change to the location of your GP surgery. You do not need to take any action in relation to the changes described in this letter.
Our new premises that will be opening on 19 October 2026 at First Floor Oliver Road Polyclinic, 75 Oliver Road Leyton, E10 5LG. This is because our current premises lease at Francis Road will be expiring and we will to be moving to a purpose-built healthcare facility for our patients
Your practice and your team are staying the same.
Although the location is changing, your GP practice and the team looking after you are not changing. The full Francis Road Medical Centre team will relocate to Oliver Road Polyclinic, so you will continue to receive care from the same doctors, nurses and wider practice team.
You do not need to take any action.
You will remain registered with Francis Road Medical Centre, your medical records will remain with the practice, and your GP care will continue as normal. The new location also means we will be able to increase our staffing levels, and the skills mix of our team, so we can offer you a wider range of services.
The new premises will provide patients of Francis Road Medical Centre with modern facilities including disability access. There will be a total of 6 clinical rooms, a large welcoming reception and waiting area, along with baby changing facilities.
What happens next?
Until 16 October 2026, please continue to access the GP Practice at the Francis Road address as usual for appointments, prescriptions, sample collections etc.
From 19 October 2026, Francis Road Medical Centre will provide your GP care from:
First Floor Oliver Road Polyclinic 75 Oliver Road
Leyton E10 5LG.

The Oliver Road Polyclinic is approximately 12-minutes’ walk away from the current Francis Road site (please refer to Map overleaf for more details).

What does this mean for you as a patient?
You will continue to be registered as a patient with the practice. There is no action for you to take. The move will not affect the care you receive. You will be able to continue to access all the services we offer, including access to your medical records.
We will make every effort to ensure minimal disruption to services during the relocation period and will notify you if we anticipate any delay or issues as soon as possible.
If the move to the new premises and the opportunity to access the practice at Oliver Road is not convenient for you, other local practices to join can be found by visiting the NHS website: https://www.nhs.uk/ or by contacting the PCSE Customer Service number on 0300311 2233.
However, we really hope you will stay with our Surgery so that we can continue providing services to you.
Location of the new premises
A map of the new location has been enclosed, which includes travel directions from the existing site to the new premises in Oliver Road.
We can also confirm:
- There is limited street parking (Pay and Display bays)
- Children’s buggies can be brought into the practice
- Bike racks are available outside the building
